Luau

A really fun thing we like to attend everytime we go to Maui is the Luau at the Hyatt. It was so fun to see it from Kaylie & Jadyn's perspective and to see how much they loved it. When we arrived to it Jadyn was really upset because I had been telling her all day we were going to go see dancers and she was sad she didn't have her own tutu on. As we walked to the luau we past some craft tables and luckily I saw a couple of grass skirts. I showed Jadyn the "grass tutus" and asked her if she would like one of those. She said yes and for the rest of the night she had a blast dancing in her own grass tutu just like all of the dancers on stage. Kaylie and Jadyn even went up on stage, along with their Daddy, Uncle Ry, and Aunt Kaitlyn, to learn how to hula. I have to say I didn't know Tim could shake his hips like that! :)

Kaylie and Jadyn loved the princesses (a.k.a. hula dancers) and were not to fond of the male warrior dancers which the girls thought were mean princes. They really loved the fire dancer and thought it was neat he put the fire on his feet and tongue. Hopefully they don't try that the next time we roast smores! At the very end the girls got their picture taken with a princess (once again hula dancer) and were so happy that they got to hug her. They are still talking about her and about how much they miss her and want to go see her again.

The luau was a blast and just another great memory we took away from our trip.

Happy 3rd Birthday Kaylie & Jadyn!

Kaylie and Jadyn celebrated their 3rd birthday this past week while we were on vacation. They were so excited for their birthday because they knew they would be having a princess party including a princess cake and presents. I was lucky enough to order a pink princess cake in time at the local grocery store and the girls were so excited when we went to pick it up. They yelled, "Oh! It's beautiful! I love it!" over and over and couldn't stop telling Tim and I thank you for it. The girls loved all the gifts they got and loved spending the rest of the time playing with each new thing. They got a ton of dress up stuff, which they had to put on as soon as they could.

After we had their little party the boys went and played at Kapula Golf Course. All of us girls decided to go down to the lobby and see all of the parrots they have. The girls had to go downstairs in full princess garb- high heels and all. Everyone that saw them laughed and wished them a happy birthday.

I can't believe my two little girls are 3 already. I am just amazed by them every single day and am so thankful to be their mother. Words cannot express my love I feel towards those cute girls. Happy Birthday Kaylie and Jadyn!

Aloha from Maui!

We had an incredible week last week spending time on the beach, enjoying the tropical air, and sipping on virgin lava flows. My Dad flew our family to Maui to enjoy a wonderful family vacation together. Our hotel we stayed at was painted pink so I told the girls we were staying in a pink castle and that of course made them especially excited. They loved playing in the sand and building sand castles. Kaylie and Jadyn really loved it when Kaylie threw sand in her Daddy's mouth when he was buried in the sand and he couldn't do much about it. Our hotel had a rock slide in the pool so the girls had to go down as much as they could thanks to their Dad, Papa Dale, Uncle Jon, and Uncle Ryan... sorry you guys had to go about a thousand times each. :) Every day Kaylie and Jadyn immediately wanted to get on their swimsuits to go straight to the beach and shockingly we made it out of there without a sunburn on either one of them. Wish we could say the same about their mother. :)

I felt the baby move for the first time on the plane to Maui. It is kind of a tradition now I guess because the first time I felt the twins move was while I was in Maui the last time we were able to vacation there. It was really exciting and has been fun to feel the baby move more and more.

Maui was such an awesome, relaxing vacation and we had the absolute best time. Thanks Mom & Dad for letting us tag along. We loved every single minute of it!

Fun at Grandpa & Grandma Coil's House

Two weeks ago the girls and I had a fun time going to Grandpa & Grandma Coil's house with some of their cousins. It is honestly one of the best places for a kid to go to. Their project for the day was to cut the grass around the fire pit to get ready for the smore making. The kids loved putting all of the cut grass into the back of Grandpa's tractor and then emptying it by all of the turkeys & chickens. All of the kids especially loved Grandpa Coil's game he made up of throwing frisbees from the back of the tractor into a bicycle tire on the ground. They even went on a safari ride through the tall grass in the tractor and loved picking the wild flowers along the way. And of course Grandma Coil had plenty of cookies on hand to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. :) It was such a wonderful afternoon spending time with family and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for such a wonderful afternoon!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July here in Bozeman, MT. My cute cousin Ashley and her husband Soren came to stay the weekend with us and we were so happy they came. We had a ton of fun while they were here. Soren and Tim went fishing the morning of the 4th and said it was a bust but seemed to have fun anyhow. Ashley, Kaylie, Jadyn, and I goofed around town until the boys got home and just enjoyed the relaxing feel of the day. That night we had a BBQ in our backyard and enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers and the standard 4th of July cuisine. For dessert we had brownies and homemade vanilla ice cream. We shot off fireworks in our driveway and the girls loved that. Their favorite was the parachute man that shoots out of the firework and then you run to catch it. It was pretty windy that day so Tim got quite the workout running with the girls to try to catch their parachute man. Kaylie and Jadyn loved every minute of it.

It was so cute to see how fast the girls took to Soren and Ashley. Kaylie especially had a thing for Soren and was often seen snuggling up to him and sitting in his lap. The night of the 4th as I was tucking Kaylie in her bed she whispered to me, "I need to kiss Soren. I am gonna miss my Soren." They have been missing Ashley and Soren something awful and are constantly asking about them.

All in all we had a great Independence Day and we hope you all had a great one too!
