Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's Thoughts on Easter

There is such a wonderful video on youtube right now of the Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his thoughts on Easter. I really recommend taking the five minutes just to watch it, no matter what faith you are, because it is incredible. I know that Easter is technically over but honestly the message of the Atonement is something that we can be reminded of all year long.

Tim's Surprise

Yesterday afternoon Tim came home for a few minutes from work to see me and the girls and he gave me these beautiful white roses. I absolutley love them and was so happy that he surprised me with them. I love my husband!

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful Easter day we had today! The girls were kind of fussy when they woke up but the minute they saw that the Easter bunny came they were so happy and excited. They loved the little gifts he brought them and loved looking around the house for eggs. Jadyn ate pretty much everything she found this morning before I could stop her but luckily I was able to save a few from Kaylie's eggs. Jadyn loved it so much that she told me she wanted to go to the mall and sit on the Easter bunny's lap! That is a big deal considering all week she has told me she is scared of him and wants me to talk to him so he won't come in our house. I was to get the stuff from him at the door, without him coming in mind you, and then to put it out myself. Now she loves him and wants to sit on his lap! Oh I love that little girl! :)

They looked so cute in their Easter dresses for Church. I had a quick photo session a few minutes before we left for Church and they were so funny hamming it up for the camera. They were coming up with all of these different poses and I just laughed and kept taking pictures. I really don't know where they came up with the crossing of the legs but it just cracks me up.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Last night we went over to Grandma & Grandpa Hammar's home to color easter eggs. Tim's sister Kathy and her family are in town so the girls had so much fun hanging out with their cousins and their little dog Tiger. They especially loved being dragged around on the snow sleds and have the dog chase them.

It was also a lot of fun coloring the eggs and we made a huge mess. Of course it really wouldn't be easter if there wasn't a mess. The girls loved it and Kaylie especially loved the purple ones. (She told me today her favorite colors are pink & purple and that Papa Dale loves pink too!)

I just love being a parent to these special girls and just seeing how exciting the little things in life really are.

Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday Tim and I took Kaylie and Jadyn to an Easter Egg Hunt at the golf course. It was such a beautiful sunny day and we had such a great time as a family. The girls were able to snag some eggs in the egg hunt for the 2 and under group and were so excited when they realized there was stuff inside. They also were able to decorate their own cookie, which really who doesn't like that, and they also got their face painted. Jadyn really wanted her face painted but the line was so long so I just sat her down myself and painted a butterfly on their cheeks and a heart on their noses. No one seem to notice or care so I was happy we didn't have to wait and the girls were happy they got their face painted and it wasn't done by a stranger. :) My favorite part of the day was when we got home and Kaylie looked in the mirror for the first time and saw her face painted. She whispered to herself, "It's so cute!" Kaylie and Jadyn really couldn't stop smiling when they saw it. I love them!

It was such a neat event that was put on and there were so many people there enjoying all the different festivities. We will definately be attending next year!

Out Golfing

This afternoon Tim and I took Kaylie and Jadyn to the golf course where they putted for the first time on an actual green. They had so much fun taking turns with their putter (which Tim bought for them when they could barely walk) and after they would hit their sister would say, "Good job!" It was a lot of fun to do something as a family and to see the girls enjoy it so much. Tim is especially happy the course is open and that he can get out and play. The girls are hoping Tim will take them back tomorrow to putt some more. Before we know it they'll have a better short game then their Dad! :)

Congrats Ryan & Dallyn!

We are so happy to announce that my little brother Ryan is engaged! He proposed this past Saturday night to his cute girlfriend Dallyn Cowley and we couldn't be more thrilled she said yes and that she is joining our family. Congrats Ry and Dallyn!
