The Top 2 Reasons I Love Being A Mother

My top 2 reasons why I love being a mother are shown in picture 1 & picture 2 in no particular order. I really don't know how I got to be so lucky to be the mother of such wonderful girls. They are the light of my life and are such happy little girls. I love their hugs and kisses and all of their funny little things that they do. Especially when Kaylie screams my name when I am out of the room over and over again until I come to see what is the matter. She then just says, "I just miss ya Mom." What could be better than that. :)

Kaylie & Jadyn's Pictures

While we were in town for Christmas I had my friend Celeste take pictures of my girls. It was a hard process because my girls did not cooperate whatsoever- even after bribing them with anything and everything under the sun. Celeste did a great job and got some adorable pictures of them. Thanks so much Celeste! For those in Arizona wanting cute pictures done go to Celeste Ruth Photography- she is wonderful! There are so many cute pictures of the girls that sadly I can't put them all on, but here are a few of my favorites.

Christmas Video

I was going through some Christmas pictures and noticed this video we took at Christmas while we were opening presents. Kaylie and Jadyn absolutely love the shows "Yo! Gabba Gabba!" and "Blue's Clues" and were very excited to get the DVD's (or as the girls say it DDD's) from Santa. They still talk about Santa all the time and can't wait until next Christmas. Enjoy!

Family Time Sledding

We all went down today to a sledding hill in town to take the girls sledding for the first time. Jadyn went down first with Tim and at the bottom she told Tim, "I want more Dad!" Kaylie loved it too and the girls had the biggest smiles on their faces. We even had a snowball fight and Jadyn thought she was really funny when she started putting snow on my head. It was so much fun to spend time together just the four of us and enjoy an activity. The girls loved it and were sad when it was time to go.

Think Jadyn has enough bedtime toys?

I don't know what it is lately but everytime we put Jadyn to bed she hurries and grabs every toy she can see and throws them into her crib. I honestly do not see how she can comfortably sleep in there. Yesterday at naptime I counted 19 toys in her bed! I always sneak in after she is alseep and take them all out and it just cracks me up. We are trying to limit it to a few toys but she is always trying to sneak more in.

Princess Class

I have been looking around trying to find different activities for the girls to do and came across a Princess Class taught through the Bozeman Recreation Center. The girls absolutely love making the crafts and doing the different activities they have set up. The first day we went they kept on wanting to see Minnie Mouse and the Princesses because they thought we were going to Disneyland. They were a little disappointed at that but had fun nonetheless. Today the girls made crowns and Kaylie wanted to wear hers to the car. As I was lifting her into her carseat I noticed the glue wasn't quite dry yet and the beads, along with the glue, were dripping onto her forehead.

Move Over Von Trapp Family!

As of lately Kaylie and Jadyn are absolutely obsessed with the Sound of Music. They watched it at my parents house over our Christmas vacation and made my Dad watch the "cook-coo" part about 18 times. Now they want to watch it every day and know all of the songs by heart (which I don't mind too much because it is one of my favorite movies). It was hilarious one day when I noticed them walking with their arms behind each other in a line and then start singing the song. They took turns standing behind each other doing the "cook-coo" part and then did the rest of the song and dance. I was laughing so hard when at the end they went up our stairs backwards just like the little girl does in the movie. They then had me wave goodbye to them at the bottom of the stairs. I am amazed at what they pick up and what they do. I love everything about them and love that I get to be their mother and get to watch from the audience all of their performances.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas in Arizona and enjoyed the warmer weather. Santa did come despite Jadyn not wanting him anymore. The girls were excited he ate their milk and cookies and were even more excited by their stockings and toys. It was so much fun this year since this was the first year where they actually knew what was going on. Jadyn was really excited by her clip on earrings she got in her stocking (she has been wanting to get her ears pierced). Kaylie liked her chapstick (we didn't know it had color) and put it on as she was opening her stocking. After our last incident with Kaylie and lipstick we took the chapstick and threw it away. Luckily she was distracted by the rest of Christmas to realize it was missing.

"I Don't Want Santa!"

The girls were so excited to see Santa at our Ward Christmas Party and to tell him that they wanted a Barbie for Christmas. Jadyn was first and screamed her head off and hung onto me for dear life. She sat long enough on his lap to snap a picture and then she was off his lap as fast as she could. Kaylie was fine with talking to Santa and told him that she wanted a purple Barbie. Santa gave her a candy cane, which Jadyn quickly noticed that she did not get one. When Santa held one out to Jadyn she snatched the candy cane away from him and gave him the dirtiest look she could muster. When we got in the car after the party was over Jadyn told Kaylie, "No! I don't want Santa!"
