Aloha from Maui!

We had an incredible week last week spending time on the beach, enjoying the tropical air, and sipping on virgin lava flows. My Dad flew our family to Maui to enjoy a wonderful family vacation together. Our hotel we stayed at was painted pink so I told the girls we were staying in a pink castle and that of course made them especially excited. They loved playing in the sand and building sand castles. Kaylie and Jadyn really loved it when Kaylie threw sand in her Daddy's mouth when he was buried in the sand and he couldn't do much about it. Our hotel had a rock slide in the pool so the girls had to go down as much as they could thanks to their Dad, Papa Dale, Uncle Jon, and Uncle Ryan... sorry you guys had to go about a thousand times each. :) Every day Kaylie and Jadyn immediately wanted to get on their swimsuits to go straight to the beach and shockingly we made it out of there without a sunburn on either one of them. Wish we could say the same about their mother. :)

I felt the baby move for the first time on the plane to Maui. It is kind of a tradition now I guess because the first time I felt the twins move was while I was in Maui the last time we were able to vacation there. It was really exciting and has been fun to feel the baby move more and more.

Maui was such an awesome, relaxing vacation and we had the absolute best time. Thanks Mom & Dad for letting us tag along. We loved every single minute of it!

Fun at Grandpa & Grandma Coil's House

Two weeks ago the girls and I had a fun time going to Grandpa & Grandma Coil's house with some of their cousins. It is honestly one of the best places for a kid to go to. Their project for the day was to cut the grass around the fire pit to get ready for the smore making. The kids loved putting all of the cut grass into the back of Grandpa's tractor and then emptying it by all of the turkeys & chickens. All of the kids especially loved Grandpa Coil's game he made up of throwing frisbees from the back of the tractor into a bicycle tire on the ground. They even went on a safari ride through the tall grass in the tractor and loved picking the wild flowers along the way. And of course Grandma Coil had plenty of cookies on hand to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. :) It was such a wonderful afternoon spending time with family and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for such a wonderful afternoon!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July here in Bozeman, MT. My cute cousin Ashley and her husband Soren came to stay the weekend with us and we were so happy they came. We had a ton of fun while they were here. Soren and Tim went fishing the morning of the 4th and said it was a bust but seemed to have fun anyhow. Ashley, Kaylie, Jadyn, and I goofed around town until the boys got home and just enjoyed the relaxing feel of the day. That night we had a BBQ in our backyard and enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers and the standard 4th of July cuisine. For dessert we had brownies and homemade vanilla ice cream. We shot off fireworks in our driveway and the girls loved that. Their favorite was the parachute man that shoots out of the firework and then you run to catch it. It was pretty windy that day so Tim got quite the workout running with the girls to try to catch their parachute man. Kaylie and Jadyn loved every minute of it.

It was so cute to see how fast the girls took to Soren and Ashley. Kaylie especially had a thing for Soren and was often seen snuggling up to him and sitting in his lap. The night of the 4th as I was tucking Kaylie in her bed she whispered to me, "I need to kiss Soren. I am gonna miss my Soren." They have been missing Ashley and Soren something awful and are constantly asking about them.

All in all we had a great Independence Day and we hope you all had a great one too!

A River Runs Through It

Today Tim and I took the girls fishing and they had an absolute blast. We first went and bought them their very own Barbie fishing pole (which Tim looked very cute fishing with) and hooks and worms. The girls do have a bit of their mother in them and would not touch the worms and left that job up to their Daddy. We sadly didn't catch anything but we did have fun running up and down the trails, fishing in the river, and just enjoying the beautiful outdoors. I do have to say we are very lucky to live in such a beautiful area- especially when it isn't snowing. :)

Ryan & Dallyn are Married!

This past Thursday we had a wonderful time attending my brother Ryan and his sweet new wife's reception. It was held in the backyard of the Cowley's home and it was absolutely beautiful. Dallyn looked so beautiful and it was so fun just to see my brother so in love. Kaylie and Jadyn's favorite parts were the candy bar (mine too!) and the dancing. They danced for two hours straight and Jadyn even started to fall asleep while she was dancing. Luckily we grabbed her before she collapsed on the concrete. They didn't move a single muscle all night long and the minute they woke up in the morning they said they wanted to go to Dallyn & Ry's party.

Then on Friday afternoon Tim and I were able to witness Dallyn and Ry be sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona temple. It was just perfect in every way and we are just thrilled for them. They are an amazing couple. I think Kaylie said it best when I was buckling her in the car at the temple. She said, "Ry and Dallyn married? I'm so happy!" It was also really neat having the reception the night before so the temple was the main focus the day of the wedding. It was not so hectic and was just so much fun.

Ryan and Dallyn we love you guys and were so happy we could be there for your big day. We love you!

Congrats Brandon!

Tonight my cousin Brandon Mathews opened his mission call and the girls and I were lucky enough to be in Arizona to be there.  We are excited for him to be a missionary in the Norway Oslo Mission.  We know he'll be a great missionary in bringing the gospel to the people of Norway.  Congrats Elder Mathews!

Out for Pizza

Over the weekend Tim and I stayed overnight in Billings to celebrate our five years of marriage. Our plan was to get up Saturday and go do sealings at the Billings temple. Well just our luck we happened to try to attend the temple the one Saturday it is closed all summer long. We had a good laugh at that and decided it was the thought that counts. At least we got to spend some time together without kids for a day. :)

Yesterday Kaylie asked me if the temple was closed and I told her it was and that was why mommy and daddy couldn't go. She smiled at me and said, "They must have gone out for pizza!" Gotta love that sweet little girl and the things that come out of her mouth.
