The Joys of Picking Up Toys

Yesterday I asked Kaylie and Jadyn to pick up their toys, which I do a good majority all day, every day. Jadyn looked at me with the most serious face and said, "I can't Mom. My legs are broken. I can't walk." She is only 3! Where do kids come up with this stuff? :)

Splash Park Fun with Dad!

This morning we headed to Belgrade Splash Park to have some fun in the water before the big Saturday crowd came and before it got too hot outside for me the big, fat pregnant woman. :) It was Tim's first time coming with us since we always go when he is stuck at work. Kaylie and Jadyn were so excited to show him all of the fun water sprinklers and to show him how they run through everything and get wet. We had a lot of fun today with Dad coming and just enjoying being outside this beautiful day.

Our New Addition!

Today we traded in our Lincoln Navigator for a new Chevy Traverse. We are quite excited about it and are happy that we were able to fit all 3 carseats in it comfortably and still be able to function. We have had a lot of trouble with our Navigator during the winter time with the suspension so we are happy that we now have that worry off our hands and have something that will do great in the snow, because heaven knows it snows a majority of the year here. :)

It's A Boy!

Tim and I were so excited to have our ultrasound yesterday afternoon and find out that we are having a boy! We have tons of pink but no blue anywhere in our house so it looks like Kaylie, Jadyn, and I need to get to shopping. :) Our little boy looks healthy and is moving around a ton. It was such a neat experience yesterday seeing him and telling the girls they are going to have a brother. We can't wait for his arrival this December.

My Little Piggy & Kitty

This evening the girls and I had a lot of fun messing around with some face paints I bought. Kaylie is the kitty with the orange eyebrows, while Jadyn is the piggy with green eyebrows. I sure love this age and everything they come up with.

The Girls' First Bikes!

Today we made a special trip to the store so the girls could pick out their very first bikes. We have been wanting to do it for some time, but with it snowing here a good chunk of the year we decided their birthday would be as good as time as any. Kaylie and Jadyn were so excited picking out which one they wanted and could hardly stand the wait while Tim and I put them together in our family room. Kaylie picked out an Ariel bike that blows bubbles and Jadyn picked out a Dora the Explorer bike that does quite a bit too. They were able to ride them a little ways on the sidewalk and I imagine that in a few weeks they will be running me ragged through the neighborhood. :)

Luau

A really fun thing we like to attend everytime we go to Maui is the Luau at the Hyatt. It was so fun to see it from Kaylie & Jadyn's perspective and to see how much they loved it. When we arrived to it Jadyn was really upset because I had been telling her all day we were going to go see dancers and she was sad she didn't have her own tutu on. As we walked to the luau we past some craft tables and luckily I saw a couple of grass skirts. I showed Jadyn the "grass tutus" and asked her if she would like one of those. She said yes and for the rest of the night she had a blast dancing in her own grass tutu just like all of the dancers on stage. Kaylie and Jadyn even went up on stage, along with their Daddy, Uncle Ry, and Aunt Kaitlyn, to learn how to hula. I have to say I didn't know Tim could shake his hips like that! :)

Kaylie and Jadyn loved the princesses (a.k.a. hula dancers) and were not to fond of the male warrior dancers which the girls thought were mean princes. They really loved the fire dancer and thought it was neat he put the fire on his feet and tongue. Hopefully they don't try that the next time we roast smores! At the very end the girls got their picture taken with a princess (once again hula dancer) and were so happy that they got to hug her. They are still talking about her and about how much they miss her and want to go see her again.

The luau was a blast and just another great memory we took away from our trip.
