Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas in Arizona and enjoyed the warmer weather. Santa did come despite Jadyn not wanting him anymore. The girls were excited he ate their milk and cookies and were even more excited by their stockings and toys. It was so much fun this year since this was the first year where they actually knew what was going on. Jadyn was really excited by her clip on earrings she got in her stocking (she has been wanting to get her ears pierced). Kaylie liked her chapstick (we didn't know it had color) and put it on as she was opening her stocking. After our last incident with Kaylie and lipstick we took the chapstick and threw it away. Luckily she was distracted by the rest of Christmas to realize it was missing.

"I Don't Want Santa!"

The girls were so excited to see Santa at our Ward Christmas Party and to tell him that they wanted a Barbie for Christmas. Jadyn was first and screamed her head off and hung onto me for dear life. She sat long enough on his lap to snap a picture and then she was off his lap as fast as she could. Kaylie was fine with talking to Santa and told him that she wanted a purple Barbie. Santa gave her a candy cane, which Jadyn quickly noticed that she did not get one. When Santa held one out to Jadyn she snatched the candy cane away from him and gave him the dirtiest look she could muster. When we got in the car after the party was over Jadyn told Kaylie, "No! I don't want Santa!"

Time Out

We have this spot in our family room where the girls know they go to if they are in time out. They are rarely in there at the same time and when they are I seperate them to different parts in the room. Well today as I was cleaning I sent them both to time out without thinking to seperate them. After a few minutes I heard them laughing hysterically and so I came to see what they were doing because knowing them it could be a lot of things. I got a good laugh out of it and I think the picture says it all. I think I better seperate them next time. :)

Frosty the Snowman

It is absolutely freezing here in Montana. We pretty much had a week of temperatures below zero. It is pretty sad when we are happy when it gets above ten degrees. Needless to say I am looking forward to the heat and sunshine for Christmas in Arizona. :)

Last week, before it got too cold, the girls and I built our first snowman together. We did it in our front yard and had a lot of fun. Kaylie and Jadyn helped a lot in building the snowman and then ate snow during their breaks. They had so much fun and love to say hi to it everytime we leave the house.

Papa-cakes!

This morning the girls wanted Papa-cakes (pancakes) for breakfast so we had a fun time making them together. They even had to have their aprons on before we could start. Kaylie and Jadyn call them Papa-cakes because my Dad always makes them for us when we're visiting and he lets the girls help. Too cute.

Notice the left over lipstick on Kaylie. I think it is more of a 24 hour lipstick instead of 9 hour like it is advertised. :)

9-hour Lipstick

Today Kaylie decided to take my 9-hour lipstick and give herself (and our family room carpet) a makeover. She had it on her lips, chin, cheek, and of course all over her body. All of this happened fifteen minutes before Church started so needless to say we were late for Sacrament meeting. I couldn't get the lipstick off Kaylie's face and so the nursery workers were happy that they could easily tell the girls apart today. I think I am going to be completely gray by next year if they keep this up! :)

By the way, does anyone know how to get long lasting lipstick out of carpet? :)

Monster Faces

Last night for Family Home Evening we had a great time making monster faces. We were all laughing pretty hard at what the girls were coming up with and so we had to run and grab the camera. The girls loved posing even more than making the faces. :)
