Happy Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween tonight. I let the girls pick what they wanted to be this year and Kaylie chose Cinderella and Jadyn chose to be Snow White. They have been so excited to go trick-or-treating and have been talking about going for a long time now. I had to fix "Cinderella hair" and "Snow White hair" for them and they were really excited when I let them wear a little blush and lip gloss. (They have been asking to wear make up for as long as I can remember).

They would run up to each door and Jadyn would yell, "Trick-or-Treat!" I was surprised at their stamina because I think they would trick-or-treat all night if we let them. Right now they are looking out our front window watching for kids to help hand out candy. I just love having kids and finding so much excitement in all of the little things. It helps show what really is important in life.

Brandon is coming...

Our c-section is scheduled! Unfortunately it gives our little guy a horrible birthday- one that he probably will always hate. I will be having Brandon on Christmas Eve! We are very excited to have him come but I am already worrying about how I am going to make his birthday special in the future with it being so close to Christmas. Luckily Kaylie and Jadyn are still too small to read a calendar so we are moving Christmas up a few days since I will be in the hospital for the real thing. Plus I don't think there is a child around that would complain about having Santa come early. :)

Fun with My Family In Town

We had so much fun the past couple of weeks here in Bozeman with my Mom visiting and for the last week my sister and my Dad. I always love watching them with my girls and to see the girls get so excited with them being here. The girls had big plans with them here which consisted of going to McDonalds to show them how good they can go down the slide and going shopping at Target to look at toys. And of course the girls got to make "papa cakes" (pancakes) with Papa Dale too. I think my family was papacaked out by the time they left because we had it so much. :) My Dad was able to enjoy some golf and fly fishing with Tim and able to relax a bit, which I think he enjoyed. It was really a fun trip... well at least it was for us! :)

Thanks Mom, Dad, and Kait for coming! We had so much fun with you here and are missing you like crazy. Can't wait to see you when Brandon arrives!

The Best Birthday Party I've Ever Had

Today I had a great birthday spending time with my wonderful husband and adorable girls. Tim and I had a great lunch together, without the kids, and had fun spending some time alone to talk and enjoy each other. This afternoon Kaylie and Jadyn made me a birthday cake and decorated the heck out of it. I let them put any and every sprinkle we had- including the new princess sprinkles we bought which they couldn't wait to get their hands on. It made my day to have the girls sing 'Happy Birthday' to me through out the day and just to have extra loves from them. Then at the girls' requests we finished the night off with Happy Meals from McDonalds and some birthday cake. I don't think it gets any better than this!

And yes, once again my girls are just in their panties. I can't keep them dressed at all when they are at home because clothes just get in the way of them putting on their dress up clothes. We're working on it! We are also working on Kaylie not scratching her sister. You'll know which one is Jadyn in the video by all the wonderful scratches on her. Oh brother!

The Fun of Painting

Kaylie & Jadyn got watercolor paints for their 3rd birthday and really love sitting down at the kitchen table and painting. They seriously will sit there for 45 min. - 1 hour painting, which is awesome when I am cleaning the kitchen. Well Friday night I let them paint and when I looked over I noticed Jadyn had decided she needed to paint her nails purple. It cracked me up and honestly she did a pretty good job. Once I laughed that was it and Jadyn decided to really give Mom a show by starting to paint her face. If I ever meet the Crayola person who invented the washable paints I am going to give them a big hug. :)

September 11th

I honestly can't believe that it has been 8 years since September 11th happened. I can still remember everything like it was yesterday and my heart still goes out to the families and friends that were affected by it firsthand. Tim and I had the opportunity to go to Ground Zero in 2005 before we left for law school. It is amazing to feel the spirit there and the peace that is found. It was great to see how everyone was so respectful and reverent, which is exactly how you hope people will be but are never quite sure what you'll find. It was an experience I will never forget and am so thankful I had the opportunity to go.

I hope that you all have a wonderful September 11th and take a moment to think of all the people who so tragically lost their lives on that day. I am thankful to be an American and hope that people "will never forget".

Too Much Fox News

I have been watching a lot of news lately, especially Fox News, and I guess it hasn't gone without notice. It is no secret I am not too pleased with how Congress is handling things and the proposed Health Care Plan so I have been watching a lot of different things to stay informed. Well the other day as I was watching Glenn Beck a picture of Barack Obama came on the TV during a commercial. Jadyn pointed at him and said, "Mom. That's Arock O-bumbum!" I turned to her and asked her what she said to make sure I heard her right. She said again, "Arock O-bumbum!" I laughed so hard and honestly was surprised she knew the President of the United States name... well, somewhat. :) Oh, how I love my smart little 3 year old! Does this mean I need to incorporate Political Science into our preschool lessons? :)
